iPad App ‘My Editing Buddy’ was required to be designed for today’s technology-driven classrooms. Our client had come up with this app idea after elaborate discussions with educational experts.

For ‘My editing buddy’ app the client company was seeking two major goals:

  • An easy to use app that appeals to students in the age bracket of 11-14 years
  • A word processer on iPad that makes learning fundamental editing skills fun

Challenges:

To make editing easy for elementary school students, the client required:

  • Drag images (punctuation symbols) over the text
  • Insert images (punctuation symbols) in a text document
  • Keep the user interface extremely simple
  • Maintain multiple documents by multiple authors
  • Provision for giving feedbacks on the document clearly and easily
  • Store separately self-edited documents and documents edited by peers and teachers
  • View side-by-side self-edited document and document edited by others

Implementation:

Initially we started with rough wireframes. We worked closely with our client with an iterating process involving speedy revision cycles.
