Mover Storage is a native mobile application for storage management of warehouses. This application was created by a California-based moving, CRM and mobile technologies company called Netensity. Netensity focuses on providing a user-friendly platform to small, medium, and large logistics companies to simplify their operations. They are a known player in redefining sales automation for the moving industry. Being in the moving industry for decades, Netensity came up with an idea to make tedious warehouse management - easier, simpler, and handy. Thus, Mover Storage was created - a mobile application that helps users to allocate units for storage and help track the status of deliveries.

CHALLENGES

Challenges faced during the development of Mover Storage

To manage the Custom warehouse according to its size

It was challenging to create a customized warehouse as per the size of the mobiles and give the facility to drag and drop on a small screen.

Manage shipment status and give them the ability to edit at any level

Shipment management was a tedious task because providing accessibility to editing the status at all levels was complex and time-consuming

Manage Offline sync of the data on two-way to emigrate issue of data loss

Synching the offline database with the background service that automatically syncs data when the user gets connected to the internet was demanding.

SOLUTION OVERVIEW

Streamline logistics and data for seamless operations

Mover storage is a warehouse storage management solution that allows movers to streamline their operations. It helps business vendors to set up their warehouse layout, create units, shipments and customers. The mobile app can help vendors to take shipments into storage, assign units, take photos and add notes. You can also track the status and history of shipments, search customers, view dashboards, etc. When OpenXcell developed this solution, they had to create customized warehouses so that vendors were able to manage the storage from their mobile itself. In order to do that, our team calculated the screen sizes of mobiles, drew the custom rooms, and gave the zoom in and out facility. Apart from that, we implemented two-way sync of data by managing the offline database with the background service that automatically syncs the data when the user gets connected to the internet without affecting the UI Interface.
