Challenges Faced in the Event Management App
Mapping Accurate Nearby Events
Fetching accurate nearby events required device location permission. However, not all users allow full location permission for security reasons and so it was a bit challenging to show accurate data with limited information.
Flexible Payment Plans
The client wanted to start with a freemium model to acquire a wide customer base and then cut down the features as per the packages. Since features were dependent on packages, we needed to encapsulate features to switch them between different plans.

My Event Advisor(MEA) is an event management app, created by OpenXcell, that allows users to plan, organize and optimize corporate, social, and private events. This event manager app helps users to find contractors, vendors, photographers, florists, etc for their events. One can schedule or message directly to the service providers and can also receive reviews and comments on the services. To help users get the update of nearby events, OpenXcell built a live streaming app in a way that it was possible to fetch the live location of the users in order to suggest the events that are being organized nearby. Our team also created a vendor/organizer interface so they can post their events on the portal. If you are a service provider, your existing clients and possible future clients will get notified about the events through event manager app. OpenXcell also integrated payment portals like Stripe and Paypal for transactions.
