About Openxcell

OpenXcell is a global AI-native software development and digital product engineering company founded in 2009. We design, build, integrate, modernize, and scale production-grade software for organizations across FinTech and Financial Services, SaaS and Technology, Healthcare, eCommerce, Real Estate, Professional Services, Manufacturing, and other digital-first industries. Our capabilities span product engineering, custom application development, AI and intelligent automation, systems integration and API development, cloud, DevOps, security, data-driven solutions, and forward-deployed engineering.

OpenXcell combines senior engineering talent, modern cloud and platform architecture, AI-accelerated delivery, and a strong bias toward measurable business outcomes. We build real products - not demos - with the architecture, security, payments, identity, observability, integration, and operational foundations needed to serve real customers at scale.

The Opportunity

OpenXcell is expanding its Payments and FinTech product capabilities into the next generation of programmable financial infrastructure. We are seeking a Director of Product Management to lead strategy and execution across digital payments, stablecoins, cryptocurrency and blockchain-based financial platforms, on-chain networks, wallets, merchant acceptance, global payouts, settlement, treasury, identity, trust, risk, compliance, and API-first developer ecosystems. This is a strategic product leadership role at the intersection of business, technology, financial infrastructure, security, compliance, and emerging digital assets. The Director will help OpenXcell transform market opportunities and customer needs into reusable product capabilities, scalable platforms, and differentiated solutions that can support both client engagements and longer-term company growth.

About the role

🎯 WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

• Shape a strategic growth area for OpenXcell by extending the company's product engineering strengths into modern payment rails, stablecoins, blockchain and on-chain financial infrastructure.
• Create reusable platform capabilities that can accelerate delivery across multiple customers, markets, partners, and financial use cases rather than building one-off solutions.
• Connect business strategy with deep technology execution across product, engineering, architecture, security, data, compliance, operations, and go-to-market teams.
• Establish a scalable foundation for secure, compliant, API-driven and globally extensible payment products that can evolve with regulation, customer demand, and emerging financial networks.

• Advance OpenXcell's AI-native approach by identifying practical applications of AI, machine learning, and agentic automation across fraud, risk, transaction intelligence, customer operations, compliance, and platform efficiency.

🧭 WHAT YOU WILL OWN

• Define and communicate the product vision, multi-year strategy, roadmap, investment priorities, and measurable outcomes for OpenXcell's Payments, FinTech and next-generation financial platform portfolio.
• Lead product strategy across payment acceptance, payouts, wallets, ledgering, settlement, reconciliation, treasury, merchant solutions, global money movement, and payment orchestration.
• Drive product expansion into stablecoin and digital-asset infrastructure, including on-chain payment flows, blockchain networks, digital wallets, token-based settlement, liquidity and treasury experiences, and interoperability with traditional payment rails.
• Identify the highest-value 0-to-1 and 1-to-N platform opportunities and translate them into scalable capabilities, clear product requirements, phased roadmaps, and commercial outcomes.
• Own product discovery from customer and market insight through problem definition, business case, architecture alignment, MVP scope, launch, adoption, optimization, and lifecycle management.
• Establish portfolio-level prioritization frameworks balancing customer value, strategic differentiation, revenue potential, delivery complexity, platform leverage, security, compliance, and operational risk.
• Partner with executive leadership and business teams to shape market positioning, solution packaging, customer proposals, strategic partnerships, and product-led growth opportunities.

💳 PAYMENTS, STABLECOINS & ON-CHAIN PLATFORM LEADERSHIP

• Lead product capabilities for merchant payments, payment links and checkout, payment APIs, wallets, deposits, withdrawals, payouts, refunds, settlement, reconciliation, and transaction lifecycle management.
• Define product requirements for stablecoin-based payment and settlement flows, including multi-asset and multi-network experiences, treasury movement, on/off-ramp integrations, and abstraction of blockchain complexity from end users and merchants.
• Evaluate blockchain and on-chain networks based on speed, cost, liquidity, finality, reliability, security, ecosystem maturity, compliance requirements, and target customer use cases.
• Design product capabilities for wallet infrastructure, address and transaction management, custody or custody-partner integrations, key-management considerations, token movement, network fees, transaction status, confirmations, and exception handling.
• Guide interoperability between blockchain-based financial rails and traditional payment or banking ecosystems, including cards, bank transfers, virtual accounts, ACH/wire integrations, and local payout methods where applicable.
• Define product controls for settlement, ledger integrity, reconciliation, liquidity, treasury operations, disputes, refunds, reversals, and financial reporting.
• Build a platform mindset around reusable payment primitives, APIs, orchestration services, policy engines, risk controls, and integration patterns that can support multiple products and customer implementations.

🛡️ TRUST, RISK, SECURITY & COMPLIANCE BY DESIGN

• Partner with Security, Legal, Risk, Compliance and Engineering to embed KYC/KYB, AML, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, fraud prevention, identity, authentication, authorization, privacy, data governance, auditability, and policy enforcement into the product architecture.
• Define risk-aware customer and transaction experiences that balance security, compliance, conversion, operational efficiency, and customer trust.

• Drive platform capabilities for identity and account security, including strong authentication, MFA, adaptive or risk-based controls, OAuth/OIDC, authorization, session and token security, and Zero Trust principles where relevant.
• Ensure product decisions account for applicable payment, security, privacy, and operational standards such as PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and market-specific regulatory requirements.
• Build clear governance for emerging digital-asset products, including network risk, partner risk, transaction controls, monitoring, escalation, audit trails, and human oversight.

🤖 AI, DATA & INTELLIGENT FINANCIAL OPERATIONS

• Identify and prioritize practical AI/ML opportunities across fraud detection, anomaly detection, transaction intelligence, merchant onboarding, compliance operations, customer support, reconciliation, and platform operations.
• Develop governed AI and agentic workflows with appropriate security, privacy, explainability, observability, human review, model-risk controls, and measurable business outcomes.
• Use data, experimentation, customer feedback, and operational metrics to improve conversion, transaction success, reliability, risk performance, integration quality, and customer experience.
• Define data products and decisioning capabilities that provide real-time visibility into transaction health, customer behavior, risk patterns, liquidity, settlement, and operational performance.

👨‍💻 DEVELOPER PLATFORM & ECOSYSTEM

• Drive a developer-first product experience across REST APIs, SDKs, webhooks, authentication, idempotency, sandbox environments, test data, documentation, developer onboarding, observability, and integration tooling.
• Define extensible partner and integration frameworks for financial institutions, payment processors, blockchain networks, liquidity providers, identity and compliance vendors, data providers, and enterprise customers.
• Partner with Architecture and Engineering to build API-first, cloud-native, event-driven, resilient and observable platforms designed for high availability, security, and global scale.
• Establish platform standards that reduce integration effort, accelerate customer onboarding, and improve reuse across OpenXcell products and client solutions.

🤝 LEADERSHIP & CROSS-FUNCTIONAL EXECUTION

• Provide product leadership across multidisciplinary teams and create clarity in complex, ambiguous, and highly technical problem spaces.
• Partner closely with Engineering, Architecture, Security, Data, AI/ML, Compliance, Operations, Sales, Customer Success, and executive leadership to align strategy and execution.
• Lead product planning, quarterly and annual roadmapping, executive reviews, dependency management, risk management, launch readiness, and post-launch performance reviews.
• Coach and elevate product management practices, including discovery, PRDs, outcome-based roadmaps, customer validation, prioritization, experimentation, KPI design, and executive communication.
• Influence without relying solely on authority; build durable alignment across technical and business stakeholders while maintaining high standards for decision quality and execution.
• Represent product strategy in customer, partner, and leadership discussions and communicate complex technology and financial concepts in clear business terms.
